DATO SERI ABDUL HAMID BIN BADOR – THE NEW IGP
Patriot welcomes Dato Seri Abdul Hamid bin Bador as the new Inspector General of Police (IGP) taking over from Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi bin Harun, and agrees with many others that the former is the best choice to the exulted post of IGP.
Patriot congratulates Dato Seri Abdul Hamid on his promotion and trusts that he is the best police officer to the post that is set to change the image of the force that has been mired by controversies of serious corruption and abuses from among some members of the force.
Dato'Seri Abdul Hamid has integrity, a leadership quality that is very significant to raise the battered image of the police force and to raise the morale of the men and women in blue. The IGP and the police force has very important role to stem the tide of rising ethno-religious sentiments played by opposition politicians. Besides, to also maintain constant vigilance against terrorism and nip the bud of any suspicious activities before the scourge of terror can take root. There are those who stir religious issue by belittling other religions, as well as playing up the royalty issue against the PH government. The police has important role to keep check on these issues.
Dato Seri Abdul Hamid has only two years to straighten up the force. Patriot believes he being a man imbued with trust, integrity and most of all God fearing, will be duly supported by his subordinates in the fulfillment of his duties.
Patriot is ever willingly to offer support to the IGP and the police force when necessary. Patriot wishes Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi happy retirement.
